Emerald N. Hanus concentrates her practice on personal injury litigation. Emerald is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Simon & Simon, Emerald worked for an insurance company where she gained valuable knowledge on how personal injury cases are evaluated from the other side. She also worked at another personal injury law firm where she represented injured clients through the inception of the case through resolution, including trials and appeals.
As a life-long Pittsburgh native, Emerald graduated from Duquesne University summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology with a focus in criminal justice. She then went on to earn her law degree from Duquesne University School of law cum laude.
Outside of work, Emerald enjoys spending time outdoors camping and hiking with her husband and two sons.
