Allison M. Patterson joined Simon & Simon after spending six years in Philadelphia-based litigation, defending large corporations and businesses in transportation and premises liability matters. She has extensive experience in motor carrier litigation, including representing an international technology and e-commerce company. Her practice has also included rideshare litigation and construction defect cases.
Allison began her legal career as a paralegal, working with both large and boutique law firms throughout Philadelphia. During this time, she gained experience across a broad range of practice areas, including transportation liability, premises liability, nursing home liability, construction defect litigation, and insurance coverage disputes. She previously worked at Simon & Simon as a paralegal while attending law school in the evenings.
Allison is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. She is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
A Philadelphia native, Allison attended Science Leadership Academy before earning her bachelor’s degree from Post University while continuing to work full-time as a paralegal. She received her Juris Doctor from Widener University Delaware Law School and later earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Trial Advocacy from Temple University Beasley School of Law. Allison is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology at Walden University. Her doctoral research focuses on juror decision-making and how jurors evaluate defendants in criminal trials.
