After 12 years at a Philadelphia-based litigation boutique defending businesses of all sizes across the country, including service as core trial counsel for an international motor carrier and regional counsel for an elevator/escalator manufacturer, Mr. Galas shifted his focus. He now brings his unique wealth of experience and insight to bear seeking justice for injured victims of motor vehicle crashes and premises accidents.
Mr. Galas began his legal career with a 2-year clerkship in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, with Magistrate Judge David R. Strawbridge. He has received a number of accolades from peers in the legal industry. He has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer every year since 2013. In 2012, he was named by the Legal Intelligencer as one of 35 “Lawyers on the Fast Track” in the Commonwealth. He has authored/co-authored numerous legal articles, and has regularly served as a guest lecturer at Villanova Law School and presented continuing legal education courses.
Mr. Galas is admitted to practice in the states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He is also admitted to practice in several federal courts, including the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the District of New Jersey.
Mr. Galas earned his J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law, where he was the Herman J. Obert Award recipient for top grade in Business Organizations. During law school, he interned with the Center for Disability Law and Policy, and served as lead student counsel for clients in Immigration Court as a member of the Farmworkers Legal Aid Clinic. He earned his bachelor’s degree in economics, with a management concentration, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a kicker for two Ivy League Championship football teams and kicking coach for a third, and a member of the JV basketball team. He remains heavily involved at his alma maters, volunteering his time as a school admissions ambassador and Penn Football Alumni Board member, and as Executive Committee Treasurer for the Villanova Law Inn of Court.
Mr. Galas regularly volunteers his time to the community. He has performed pro bono service on behalf of less fortunate community-members, and was the coordinator of his prior firm’s entry to the EDPA Pro Se Prisoner Civil Rights Panel. He has also served his residential communities for over a decade, as member and President of two different HOAs, and as Secretary of the Parish Council at Old St. Joseph’s Church.
