Lauren M. Steins is a seasoned litigator at Simon & Simon, P.C., where she advocates for individuals who have suffered serious injuries due to the negligence and carelessness of others. Her practice encompasses motor vehicle accidents and premises liability matters. Having spent nearly a decade representing defendants in complex civil litigation, Lauren brings a unique perspective to her plaintiff-side advocacy—one shaped by years of analyzing and defending against the very claims she now prosecutes.
Lauren joined Simon & Simon, P.C. with the goal of making a meaningful impact in the lives of those who have been injured. Drawing on her prior experience on the defense side, she is uniquely equipped to anticipate defense strategies and build compelling cases that maximize recovery for her clients. Her decision to transition to plaintiff’s work reflects her deep desire to help people navigate some of the most difficult moments in their lives with compassion, clarity, and confidence.
Prior to joining Simon & Simon, Lauren was a partner at two regional insurance defense firms, where she focused on catastrophic injury litigation, with an emphasis on premises liability, liquor liability, and negligent security cases in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She previously worked at a regional creditor’s rights firm and served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Joseph L. Foster, JTC (t/a), in the Superior Court of New Jersey. She also gained valuable experience through internships with the Honorable Joel A. Pisano, USDC (ret.), and the United States Attorney’s Office in both Camden and Trenton.
Lauren graduated cum laude from Drexel University in 2009 with a B.S. in Business Administration while competing as a Division I athlete on the university’s soccer team. She earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden in 2012. She also obtained a Certificate in Trauma and Resilience from Florida State University in 2023.
Outside the courtroom, Lauren serves on the Board of Directors for the One Catalyst Foundation, a charity organization that helps provide support and medical financial assistance, oncology research funding, and educational scholarships for members of her community. Lauren is also a committed runner, having competed in numerous marathons and half marathons in support of organizations such as the Ronald McDonald House of Philadelphia and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
When not advocating for her clients, Lauren enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
